ASTROSIB RC Telescopes

ASTROSIB RC telescopes — Ritchey-Chrétien design for astrophotography, scientific observation, and public events.

Available with apertures of 360, 400, and 500 mm. The carbon-aluminum truss structure delivers rigidity at minimum weight. Optical quality: wavefront RMS ≤ 0.04 λ, Strehl ratio ≥ 0.92.

All telescope subsystems are automated. An absolute high-resolution encoder mount, a wide field, and the ability to mount heavy professional equipment make the system suitable for a broad range of research tasks.

*ASTROSIB telescopes are available for order only in combination with an ASTROSIB mount.

The telescope is a fully automated observation system. Included:

  • Carbon fiber truss structure combined with lightweight components machined from high-strength aluminum alloys, minimizing the effects of temperature variation.
  • Precision focuser on the secondary mirror with automatic thermal compensation.
  • Climate control for the primary and secondary mirrors.
  • Motorized covers for the primary mirror, secondary mirror, and central baffle.
  • High-precision, high-speed pointing to any object on the celestial sphere.
  • High-precision object tracking at sidereal or arbitrary angular velocity. High-resolution optical encoders eliminate the need for autoguiding in most cases.
  • Control of all telescope subsystems from third-party astronomical applications via the ASCOM platform.

Final optical verification is performed in the assembled telescope using a double-pass beam test.

The diffraction-limited field of view is approximately 30' without a corrector and approximately 1° with one.

The mounting plates are rigidly connected to the tube body and the primary mirror cell. They provide secure attachment to the mount, include a balancing system, and can serve as attachment points for any additional equipment.
